Welcome to the CDMS PTO!

The Jog-a-Thon was a HUGE success!!! Thanks to the hard work of our wonderful students and dedicated parents we were able to raise just over $12,000. The amount raised is outstanding especially when you consider that only 75 students participated. Thank you to everyone who made this event such a great success!! With the funds raised from the Jog-a-Thon, the PTO was able to purchase the items pictured below for our playground.

The Jog-a-Thon funds will also go towards the purchase of surfacing underneath the systems pictured above, the building of a sandbox and several Spring-Swings-Twizzler Fun Rides.

The remaining Jog-a-Thon money will be used to fund the Outdoor Classroom and the Science program.

Thanks again to everyone who made this event such a great success!!

Our Mission

Our key mission is to promote an environment at school where teachers and administrators can do their best work and our students can do their best learning. We’re always eager to find more great people, like you, to help us meet this goal.

We don’t expect a huge time commitment from volunteers. An hour can be a big help to our group and the school, and we have positions and tasks to fit all schedules and interests. Just let us know whether a program, event, or activity interests you and when you might be free to help. (You don’t even have to come to the school or attend a meeting to be involved, although we’d really like to meet you personally!)

Why Join the PTO?

Research shows that students whose parents are involved in their education have better grades and fewer discipline problems. Involvement at the school also makes it easier to establish friendships with teachers and other parents. We promise that the time you give our group and the school will be worth your while—and fun!

If you have not joined the PTO and would like to, please fill out the Volunteer and Membership Form and leave it in the front office for Leah Williams, PTO Secretary.

This presentation will enhance your understanding of the Montessori philosophy and of what your students do each day.
