Fine Arts Program

The San Antonio Country Day School hosts many performance and presentation opportunities in the classroom and on stage. It is our belief that these experiences develop both confidence and poise, which extends to every facet of life. We have embraced the current research that supports music as being the only medium which simultaneously stimulates all parts of the brain.

Music instruction begins at age two. Certified Orff and Kodaly teachers team their musical knowledge and experience to open the world of music to the students. Vocal training, instruments, creative movement, and dance are integral parts of our music curriculum.

Art appreciation, education, and practical exercises begin at age four. Our art instructor uses the Monart method to help train the eyes and hand of the child.

The acquisition of knowledge pertaining to the master artists and their styles help children form a foundation on which to build a lifetime of enjoyment.
